Who Can Apply?
The scholarship is open to international students who will study outside their home country during Fall 2027.
Applicants must meet both of the following conditions:
- They must not be a citizen or permanent resident of the country where they will study in Fall 2027.
- They must be a current or prospective student enrolled in a postsecondary programme in Fall 2027.
Students from all citizenships can apply if they meet the eligibility requirements.
Current students are also eligible, provided they will still be studying during Fall 2027.

Application Requirements
Applicants need to submit two main things:
1. Online Application Form: Applicants must complete the short scholarship application form provided by Global Scholarships.
2. 500–700 Word Essay: Applicants must submit a 500–700 word essay in PDF format answering the following question:
“Describe your educational journey emphasising how you have maximised your potential given your circumstances. In addition, please tell us how you plan to continue to do so after your degree.”
The essay is an important part of the application, so applicants should make sure their response directly addresses the question.
Selection Process
After applications close, Global Scholarships will select finalists.
The current 2027 schedule states that finalists will be notified between June 15 and June 30, 2027.
Finalists may be asked to provide:

- Proof of attendance if they are already studying
- A written agreement regarding social media responsibilities
Finalists have 10 days to provide the requested documents. Global Scholarships may also invite finalists to a short Zoom interview.
