The application for the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship is now open for both Canadian and international students. This is a fully-funded scholarship program for Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, and international students.

The Vernier Canada Graduate Scholarship is for Masters leading to Ph.D. The scholarship is open for international students and provides about 166 scholarships for the range of masters leading to Ph.D. at different universities in Canada.

Its aim is to produce academically sound young professionals from around the world.

The benefits of having this scholarship are;

How to Apply

  1. First, you have to apply to universities that have slots for the Vernier Scholarships.
  2. The deadline varies with the particular university, so you will have to check the deadline of the university you are applying for.
  3. You can only apply to one university for Vanier, this university will conduct an evaluation on your profile and recommend you to Vanier.
  4. After then, Vanier will make the final selection.

How to complete a CGS Vanier Application

  1. Confirm your eligibility for the program
  2. Contact your desired nominating institution
  3. Inform the faculty of graduate studies at that institution to apply for the Vanier CGS program.
  4. Register for a Canadian common CV (CVV) and researchNet Accounts
  5. Create a CVV and link to the ResearchNet application.
  6. Start a ResearchNet application
  7. Identify an area of research.
