Benefits of the USTC Scholarships in China 2025
There are benefits for the different levels of the program and they will be stated below;
Undergraduate Program
- Level A benefits include a 2,500 RMB monthly stipend, medical insurance, tuition waiver, and housing assistance.
- Level B involves a waiver of tuition fees.
Master’s Program
- Level A benefits include a 3,000 RMB monthly stipend, medical insurance, tuition waiver, and housing assistance.
- Level B entails the waiver of tuition costs and the availability of teacher or research assistance subsidies.
Doctoral Program
- Level A offers a monthly stipend of up to 7,000 RMB, medical insurance, and a waiver of tuition fees.
- Level B offers medical insurance, a monthly salary of 3,500 RMB, tuition fee waivers, and housing subsidies.
- Level C offers a waiver of tuition costs as well as financial aid for research or teaching support.
USTC Fellowship in China 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Already stated below are the eligibility criteria for this fellowship program;
- Citizens of a nation other than China should be included. (For every level and every program)
- A valid passport is required. (For every level and every program)
- Maintain a healthy bodily and mental state. (For every level and every program)
- Students must have completed high school, have a bachelor’s degree for master’s programs, and have a master’s degree for doctorate programs.
- must provide a pre-graduation certificate attesting to their completion of their degrees prior to receiving this grant. (For every level and every program).
- Students must be under 30 years old for undergraduate programs, no older than 35 for master’s programs, under 35 for doctoral programs, and under 45 for level B programs.
- Fresh HSK Level 5 or above in Chinese language courses is required for undergraduates, whereas new HSK Level 4 or higher is required for master’s and doctorate programs.
- having already received another Chinese scholarship, making them ineligible for an undergraduate grant.
- Doctoral programs shouldn’t be pursuing their degrees at any Chinese universities at the moment.

- During the scholarship time, they are prohibited from taking part in any other assignments. (For all levels and programs)

- In the USTC Application System, first register for an account.
- Select the fellowship level and program for which you wish to apply.
- You will only be chosen for one level depending on your application, even though you can apply for all levels at once.
- Fill out the form with all the information requested.
- Upload all of the necessary files.
- Go over the form and send it in.
Application Deadlines
The application deadline for the USTC Fellowship in China 2025 under the undergraduate programs is 31st March 2025, while that of the master’s and doctoral programs is 15th February 2025.
