The US President Inauguration is fast approaching. Newly elected president of the United States, Joe Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris are already making plans for tackling the Coronavirus outbreak and climate change. After a tense and tough awaited election results, the former Vice President Joe Biden won the presidency position over Trump. And his vice president elected, Sen. Kamala Harris has made history as the first woman and first woman of color to be elected into the White House.

Several news carriers have called the election for Joe Biden on the 7th of November, following several days of vote counts amid the influx of mail-in ballots due to the outbreak. Though President Trump has yet to concede. Still yet, Joe Biden has already begun planning for a solution to several US affected issues.

Before the new administration comes in place in 2021, below is everything you will need to know about the inauguration.

Date of the Inauguration

The US President Inauguration is set to take place on Wednesday, 20th of January, o the west front of the United States Capitol in Washington, DC. Each elected United State president term begins at noon on the same day according to the 20th Amendment to the Constitution. The newly elected president ought to take an oath of office before performing duties. This will follow the presidential swearing-in event, where the president will deliver his inaugural address.

Time and How it can be Watched.

There is no exact time announced yet for the presidential inauguration. But the event is likely to be streamed by most major news stations. Additionally, it will be shared on several platforms like Facebook Live, Twitter, and YouTube.

Tickets During the Pandemic

The US President Inauguration will be free to attend, as you won’t be needing any ticket. This can be requested through the office of the US senator or representative by filling the form on their site. Aspiring viewers have until the 1st of January, 2021 to request tickets. Tickets are granted based on first-come-first-serve, and it is basically one per attendance, including kids and infants. Each state sets its own limits on how many tickets a household can request.

Will Former President Trump be there?

Donald Trump has not yet conceded, and it hasn’t been clear whether he will be in the event. By default, the former president ought to attend the inauguration of the newly elected president.

What will the President do?

The newly elected president says one of his biggest priorities is providing a solution to the coronavirus outbreak. Biden and Harris have already made an announcement hereby formulating a coronavirus advisory board to help in the forthcoming administration’s response to the outbreak. This board consisted of 13 public health experts and will be led by Dr. David Kessler the co-chairs, a former Food and Drug Administration commissioner Dr. Vivek Murthy, a former US surgeon general, and a researcher at Yale University Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith.

Joe Biden also unveiled his plan that is targeted to ensure the US achieved a 100 % clean-energy economy and net-zero emissions by 2050. During one of the presidential debates, Biden promised to get the US withdrew from under Donald Trump.
