Recognizing the significant financial hurdles international students face in pursuing higher education abroad, the University of Michigan-Dearborn has established the International Undergraduate Scholarships program.
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must hold a valid non-immigrant visa, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program at UM-Dearborn.
Recipients who continue meeting satisfactory academic progress requirements and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA will have their scholarship renewed.
The University of Michigan-Dearborn is a public institution located in Dearborn, Michigan. It is one of the 14 master’s level universities in the state and one of two regional campuses governed by the University of Michigan Board of Regents. UM-Dearborn is ranked among the top Regional Universities in the Midwest region.
Scholarship Benefits
- The financial aid program, specifically intended for international undergraduate students, provides a yearly scholarship amount of $10,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- A student who is not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, holds a valid non-immigrant visa.
- Maintaining a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree program at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
- The scholarship or financial aid is renewable for subsequent academic terms or years, contingent upon maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
