The program, first launched in 2023 with a pilot group of 22 young participants, is expanding its reach to include a larger cohort, offering invaluable skills, mentorship, and opportunities for employment or entrepreneurship in the growing digital economy.

About the UNDP Africa Cybersecurity Training Programme 2025

The UNDP Africa Regional Cybersecurity Training Programme 2025 is designed to empower youth in West and Central Africa with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the cybersecurity industry.

By offering a combination of virtual theoretical sessions and in-person practical training, this initiative ensures that young people, even from underserved rural areas, have access to world-class education and professional development.

The programme is backed by a strong commitment to inclusive digital skills training, promoting access to cybersecurity education for youth in remote areas, minority communities, and persons with disabilities. Additionally, the program will select five youth trainers per country, enabling them to lead peer-to-peer learning and capacity building in their local communities.

  • Nationality: Must be a national of one of the 24 countries in West and Central Africa.
