The 2024-2025 NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Joint Venture Tertiary Scholarship Scheme

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC), and OANDO have joined forces to create a scholarship scheme that not only alleviates the financial burden on students but also fosters a culture of academic excellence and professional growth. The scholarship is part of the joint venture’s Corporate Social Responsibility, aiming to contribute to the development of a well-educated and skilled workforce.

Scholarship Categories

The program has two types of awards:

  • One is for applicants from specific communities (Host/Transit Communities) and is called the Host/Transit Communities Merit Award.
  • The other is for applicants from other communities (Non-Host/Transit Communities) and is called the National Merit Award.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be enrolled as full-time undergraduate students in Nigerian universities.
  • Applicants must be Officially recognized as 100-level students when submitting their applications

The following groups of students are advised not to submit applications:

  • Those currently in the 200 level or higher
  • Individuals currently benefiting from similar Awards offered by other Companies and Agencies
  • Dependents of NAOC/NAE/AENR/NACPFA
  • Only individuals who originate from NAOC Host/Transit Communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States are encouraged to apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.
  • Only candidates pursuing studies in Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, and Agricultural Sciences qualify for the National Merit Award.

Selection Process

  • The Aptitude test will occur at specified locations, with details provided to applicants later on.
  • Applicants are responsible for their transportation expenses to and from the Aptitude test centers.
  • Only candidates who are shortlisted will receive invitations to take part in the Aptitude Test.
  • Applicants who score below 50% overall in the Aptitude Test will not be considered.
  • The results of the Aptitude test for all participating candidates will be displayed on the notice boards across our various locations.

Required Documents

Applicants must provide the following documents:

  • Provide a recent passport photo taken within the last 6 months, with a plain white background.
  • A school ID card
  • O’level certificate
  • Admission letter
  • Birth certificate
  • You will need to provide documentation that proves your local government area of origin.
  • If you are applying for the Host Communities Merit Award, you must also submit a letter from the community paramount ruler.
  • LetterLetter from CDC Chairman (for Host Communities Merit Award applicants)
  • JAMB result

How to Apply

  • Before commencing the application process, make sure you have clear scanned copies of the specified documents as listed above.
  • Name the documents correctly to avoid confusion during the upload process
  • Attach the correct documents when prompted
  • Provide valid email and phone contact details for effective communication
  • All applicants must complete and sign the NAOC compliance declaration form. You can download the form by visiting the NAOC compliance declaration page.

  • Log in with your registered email and password to submit your information
  • Fill in your details, National Identification Number (if applicable), educational background, and other required information. Upload the necessary scanned documents
  • Verify that the name you used in your application is consistent with the names on all supporting documents. If there is a discrepancy, provide an affidavit or certificate to prove the correct name.
  • Review all uploaded documents to prevent errors during submission
  • When prompted for a photo upload, a passport-size photograph with a white background is preferred
  • Double-check your application information to avoid mistakes
  • Click “Apply Now” to submit your details
  • You will receive confirmation of your successful application via email and SMS
  • Return to the application page, log in with your email and password to download your profile. Have your Head of Department sign the document and upload the signed copy for verification
  • Update your application with your National Identification Number (NIN) at https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/naocscholarship2024 to finalize the process.
