About the Project<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Title:<\/strong> Decoding airborne volatiles in environmental smoke that taint wine<\/em><\/p>\n

Smoke from bushfires and other burns releases harmful chemicals that can get absorbed by grapes, ruining wine quality. So far, Australia\u2019s wine industry has lost over $1.4 billion in grape damage over 20 years. This research project will develop new ways to detect smoke damage early\u2014before harvest\u2014saving time and money for winegrowers.<\/p>\n
