The Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowships at the European University Institute (EUI) provide established academics with an international reputation and an opportunity to conduct research in Florence, Italy. Fellows are hosted by one of the EUI\u2019s four academic departments and can participate in seminars, workshops, research projects and other academic activities.<\/p>\n

For the September 2026 application round, the deadline is 30 September 2026 at 14:00 CEST. The fellowship can last for up to 10 months, although the duration and funding available depend on the hosting department.<\/p>\n

About the Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowships<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowships are designed for established academics who want to spend a period conducting research at the European University Institute.<\/p>\n

During their residence, fellows are encouraged to connect with researchers working in related areas and participate in departmental activities. Depending on the department and research interests, fellows may also contribute to teaching, thesis supervision and research projects.<\/p>\n
