The Sir Harry Evans Global Fellowship 2027 provides selected fellows with a fully funded nine-month placement inside a Reuters newsroom in London, New York, Sydney, or Toronto. Fellows will receive mentorship from experienced Reuters editors and gain access to Durham University\u2019s academic resources and research expertise through the Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS).<\/p>\n

The Sir Harry Evans Global Fellowship was established to provide outstanding emerging journalists with a unique opportunity to pursue ambitious investigative projects while receiving professional mentorship and academic support.<\/p>\n

The selected fellow will work directly within a Reuters newsroom, collaborating with experienced editors and journalists on investigative reporting projects. At the same time, they will have access to Durham University\u2019s Institute of Advanced Studies, where they can engage with academics, researchers, and scholarly resources to strengthen the depth and accuracy of their work.<\/p>\n

The program is structured to help fellows develop advanced investigative techniques, strengthen ethical reporting practices, and build rigorous research capabilities. Fellows are also expected to deliver a public seminar at Durham University\u2019s IAS, where they will share insights and experiences gained throughout the fellowship.<\/p>\n
