KAIST University Graduate Scholarship Details
KAIST offers many different programs and subjects for international students. If you want to study for a Master’s or PhD degree, this is a great opportunity!
The scholarship covers all the costs of your studies. It lasts 2 years for Master’s students and 4 years for PhD students.
If you are excited about Korean culture and university life, this is your chance! Applications are now open for the Fall 2025 intake. If you are in your final year of undergraduate studies, you can apply too (if you will graduate before September 2025).
KAIST Scholarship Requirements (Who Can Apply?)
To apply, you must meet these conditions:
- You must be an international student (not Korean).
- For a Master’s degree, you must have a Bachelor’s degree (or be finishing it by August 31st, 2025).
- For a PhD degree, you must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or be finishing it by August 31st, 2025).
- Final-year undergraduate students can apply if they will graduate before September 2025.
Scholarship Benefits and Duration
- Full tuition fee is covered for:
- 4 semesters for Master’s students
- 10 semesters for Master’s-PhD combined students
- 8 semesters for PhD students
- Monthly stipend (up to 2,500,000 KRW) to help with living costs.
- National Health Insurance.
- Opportunity to work part-time for extra income.

- If you are from an English-speaking country, you do not need to take this test.
