Scholarship Benefits
- The Rhodes Scholarship includes covering the course fees at Oxford University and also provides an annual stipend. In the 2023/24 academic year, the stipend is set at £19,092 annually (£1,591 per month) with the aim of supporting living costs, such as accommodation. It’s important to note that this amount may not be sufficient to support partners or dependents.
- Once selected for the Scholarship, the Rhodes Trust will pay for the necessary application fees to study at the University of Oxford. The Trust will also cover expenses related to obtaining a student visa and the International Health Surcharge (IHS). Allowing international students access to the UK’s National Health Service. Also, the Rhodes Trust will provide economy-class flights to and from the UK at the start and end of the Scholars’ studies in Oxford.
- Upon arrival in Oxford, Scholars will receive a settling-in allowance. Scholars pursuing a second course of study at Oxford, they will be supported in covering the visa renewal fee and the application for IHS once again.
