The African Union has launched a call for applications for the 2025 Pan African University (PAU) Scholarship Program. This fully funded scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, living stipends, travel costs, and research and book expenses.
The Pan African University (PAU) Scholarship Program is a premier continental university network dedicated to providing quality postgraduate education. It aims to contribute to a prosperous, integrated, and peaceful Africa.
Young, qualified, talented, and enterprising applicants from African countries and the African Diaspora are encouraged to apply for Master’s or Ph.D. degree programs at one of the four PAU institutes listed below.

Pan African University Scholarship Program Details
The Pan African University is an initiative of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union.
Candidates with strong academic potential, motivation, and leadership aspirations in fields such as academia, industry, innovation, and entrepreneurship are encouraged to apply.
PAU Scholarship 2025 Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the PAU Scholarship 2025:
For PAU Master’s Scholarship
- Maximum age: 30 years (male), 35 years (female)
- Undergraduate degree from a recognized university, with at least a Second Class Upper Division or its equivalent in a relevant field
- Certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts (university and high school)
- Passport or National ID card (personal details page)
- Clear, colored passport-size photograph (2cm x 2cm)
- Detailed CV
- Recommendation letter from one former university lecturer
- Names and contact details (email & WhatsApp number) of three reference university lecturers (Mandatory)
For PAU Ph.D. Scholarship
- Maximum age: 35 years (male), 40 years (female)
- Master’s degree in a relevant field from PAU or any internationally recognized university
- Certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts
- Passport or National ID card (personal details page)
- Clear, colored passport-size photograph (2cm x 2cm)
- Detailed CV
- Recommendation letters from two professors
- 3 to 4-page Research Concept Note (including tentative title, research questions, objectives, significance, etc.)
- Names and contact details (email & WhatsApp number) of three reference university lecturers (Mandatory)
Pan African University Scholarship Duration and Benefits
The PAU Scholarship is a fully funded award that covers tuition, travel expenses, living stipends, and accommodation for the entire duration of the program.

Application Steps:
- Read the eligibility requirements and conditions carefully.
- Click on ‘Register’.
- Provide a valid username and email address.
- Check your email inbox (including spam/junk folders) and confirm registration by clicking the link sent.
- Set a valid password.
- Log in using your credentials.
- Open the Application page and enter all required information.
- Click the Save button.
- Once completed, click the FINISH button.
