Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti to Be Delayed Once More as reported by Nvidia. They reportedly delayed the launch until mid-May. Recent rumors also stated that Nvidia was preparing to launch the souped-up RTX 3080 in mid-April, but ITHome that reports that the launch has been once again pushed back by one month. The company has reportedly place out an internal memo that confirmed that the RTX 3080 Ti would now be released “around mid-May”.

This happens to not be the first time that the so-called RTX 3080 20GB has been delayed. The Card, which was rumored to come with the RTX 3080 20GB, was reportedly scheduled to launch in December, but Nvidia has stated that they have pushed this back to January, and then again to February.
Since the SKU received new specs and a memory downgrade to 12GB, and now looks to land on in two months’ time, alongside the rumored Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti. The Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti will ship fewer CUDA cores than much previously expected, with the Nvidia planning to equip the GPU with 10,240 rather than the one rumored to be 10,496.
Speculations have also stated that (suggested) Nvidia is planning to add some limit to the Crypto-mining capabilities of the incoming GPU in other to make sure it ends up in gamers’ hands.
Nvidia would reportedly be implementing the same hash rate limiter than that of the debuted with GeForce RTX 3060, which means the GPU’s firmware would be able to note the type of mathematical hashing operations that are used in mining Ethereum and throttle the graphic card’s performance and then cut the efficiency of the mining in half.
As it seems the GPU would make its official debut in May, it remains to see so easy to purchase one. However, with recent reports stating that the GPU shortages could last until the next year, it would look like purchasing any ampere graphics card in the possible near future which is likely to be a serious struggle.
