The Nile University of Nigeria offers various scholarships and discounts to prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students. These financial aid opportunities are based on JAMB, WAEC/NECO, and A-Level results.

Scholarship Benefits

  • Applicants with a UTME score of 320 or above, along with 5 A1 grades, will be awarded a 100% scholarship.
  • Applicants who have demonstrated exceptional performance in sports at the national or professional level are eligible for a 100% scholarship for undergraduate studies.
  • Undergraduate applicants can only use either their JAMB or O-LEVEL results to qualify for the mentioned scholarships; O-LEVEL results must be from either WAEC or NECO.
  • Undergraduate program applicants boasting JAMB scores of 320 or above, in addition to securing 5 or more A’s in their O-LEVEL exams, are qualified to receive a full scholarship covering 100% of their tuition.
  • Recipients of undergraduate scholarships must maintain a minimum average CGPA of 3.50 to retain their scholarships each new session.

Eligibility Requirements

  • For Nigerian students aspiring to enroll at the University, it is mandatory to sit for and successfully pass the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination or the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), reaching the designated cut-off score for the respective year. Prospective students must also demonstrate possession of 5 credit grades, which can be achieved over a maximum of two examination sittings.   • Direct Entry candidates are those who have completed one of the following: OND, NCE, HND, ‘A’ level GCE, SBS, JUPEB, IJMB, or any other higher qualification.
  • Transfer candidates from national universities generally receive preference, except when they are on academic probation. In such scenarios, the admissions committee may enroll the applicant at a lower academic level. For this admission method, the applicant must have a grade point average of 1.50 CGPA (3rd class) on a 5.0 scale to transfer and start at the appropriate level.
