The Nifemi Brown Foundation is thrilled to introduce the second edition of its Undergraduate Scholarship Program, which will provide financial support to talented and motivated Nigerian students attending Federal Universities.

The program is designed to empower students with the tools and knowledge they need to achieve their academic and professional goals, ultimately producing a new generation of leaders and innovators who will make a positive impact in Nigeria and the world at large.

Scholarship Benefits

The NBF Undergraduate Scholarship Program was established to alleviate the financial stress faced by students seeking higher education and to empower them to reach their full potential by recognizing and rewarding their academic achievements, leadership abilities, and dedication to community service.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, please submit the following:

For returning students

  • A 500-word essay outlining your personal story, achievements, and future goals.
  • Remember to include your contact details, including your phone number and email address, after your submission.
  • Your academic records from the past semester(s) or cumulative grade point average (CGPA).
  • Three letters of recommendation from respected individuals, such as religious leaders, mentors, teachers, or guidance counselors.
  • A valid form of identification (e.g. National ID Card, Student ID Card).

For Newly Admitted Students

  • If you’re a new student, this scholarship is an excellent opportunity to start your academic journey with momentum. To apply, please submit:
  • A 500-word essay highlighting your passions, interests, and reasons for pursuing your chosen degree.
  • Provide your contact information, including your phone number and email address, in the final section.

Required Documents

To apply, you will need to provide:

  • Your academic records from the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Post-UTME.
  • A formal admission letter verifying your enrollment in a Federal University.
  • Three letters of recommendation from respected individuals, such as religious leaders, mentors, teachers, or guidance counselors.
  • A valid form of identification (e.g., National ID Card, Student ID Card).

How to Apply

  • Applicants are encouraged to showcase their individuality and creativity in their essays, while still following the guidelines set by NBF. It is also important to note that reference letters must be:
    • Written on official letterhead
    • Signed by the person providing the recommendation
    • Stamped with the individual’s signature
  • All required documents must be combined into a single PDF or zipped folder and submitted to the email address provided on the official website. The subject line for the submission must be “USP Entry”. Failure to follow this submission format will result in automatic disqualification from the application process.
