A call for proposals has been announced for the 2024 NAAEE Global E-STEM Awards Program. NAAEE Global E-STEM Awards – Details
This opportunity specifically aims to recognize programs that have effectively engaged students between the ages of 11 and 22, especially those who are thought to be underrepresented in STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. It refers to relevant learning experiences that boost STEM (the “E” in E-STEM) proficiencies through environmental problem-solving.
Applicants will be asked to explain how they plan to use the funds to either replicate or expand their successful environmental literacy initiatives and create pathways to environmental careers. program to connect with more pupils.

Recipients of the awards will receive:
- Financial support: The Global E-STEM Awards program offers funding up to $15,000 for Innovation Grants and $50,000 for Excellence Prizes. These funds are available to nonprofit organizations and their partners for E-STEM initiatives targeting students aged 11-22.

Eligibility Criteria for the NAAEE Global E-STEM Award
To be considered for the NAAEE Global E-STEM award, applicant organizations must meet the requirements below:
- The organization must be an academic institution, university, or an organization with tax-exempt status under section 501(c) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, or a non-governmental organization in their respective country with equivalent status.
- They must not be under U.S. or other governmental sanctions.
- Organizations are expected to have a functioning bank account capable of receiving electronic funds in USD, not subject to sanctions.
- They must demonstrate financial and administrative stability.
- Implement programs for students aged 11-22. Administer programs between December 2024 and October 2025.
- Submit applications online via Submittable by 11:59 PM U.S. Eastern Time on Monday, July 8, 2024. Only English submissions will be accepted.
- Awardees are expected to attend a virtual one-hour orientation in late 2024.
