The Ibrahim Leadership Fellowship is a key initiative of the Foundation to build leadership and technical skills. It allows Fellows to directly contribute to research and policy development in their host institutions.

Past Fellows have worked in fields such as economics, trade, development, peace studies, and conflict resolution. The program’s goal is to inspire positive change and innovation across Africa by giving young African leaders practical experience in well-known international organizations.

Host Institutions

Fellows are placed at three major institutions:

  • African Development Bank (AfDB)
