Microsoft To Start Testing xCloud Integration On Xbox Consoles

Today, it is reported that Microsoft has started to test its Xbox cloud gaming integration with Xbox consoles. Xbox insiders in the alpha Skip-Ahead and alpha rings will now be able to get access to the xCloud integration as of today. This feature lets users click the play button on an Xbox game pass game and also stream it immediately.

As a Xbox owner you will be able to try games before you fully download them with this new xCloud integration. Also you will be able to demo a game or try it before you even purchase it in the future. Over a 100 games will be available in this initial xCloud integration development. Xbox players also would be able to get into multi-player games as soon as they are invited by friends.

Compatible Games With xCloud

To know a game that is compatible with the xCloud integration, a cloud symbol will appear next to them. And this also indicates that you can stream these games immediately. And just like the regular web streams of Xbox cloud streaming, Microsoft will also support 1080p 60fps streaming of games via the integration. The feature however is not seen as streaming for 4k TVs and more of a try out before you download bonus.

Microsoft is expected to expand testing to others with time. But as of today, the company is starting to test with a “random subset skip-ahead and alpha insiders.” Hopefully by the end of the year, xCloud integration will appear on all Xbox consoles promises Microsoft. This therefore means that Xbox one will be able to stream games that are exclusive to Xbox series S/X like the medium and the Microsoft flight simulator.
