The 2025 beVisioneers Fellowship, sponsored by Mercedes-Benz and organized by The DO School Fellowships, is now open for applications.
This global initiative, introduced in 2023, empowers young individuals to bring innovative environmental projects to life, aiming to foster a sustainable future.
The fellowship started with 100 participants, grew to 500 in 2024, and is now expanding to welcome 1,000 young eco-entrepreneurs from five continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and South America.
Program Overview
Selected participants embark on a transformative, multi-year journey, beginning with a 12-month intensive training program, fully funded by the fellowship. In the first year, Fellows gain hands-on experience and resources to shape their eco-focused ideas into actionable projects.
This training includes award-winning innovation modules, local community-based gatherings, a regional summit, consistent venture coaching, personalized mentoring, and collaborative support from both peers and experts. After completing the first year, Fellows can access additional funding through project scholarships to advance their initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Age Range: 16 to 28 years old (Only those born between October 14, 2008, and January 13, 1996, are eligible)
- Language: Proficiency in English, as all materials and discussions are conducted in English
- Project Vision: Must have identified a specific environmental issue and a concrete plan to address it
- Residency: Applicants must reside in one of the eligible countries, including nations across Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America
- Employment Restrictions: Applicants must not be employees of Mercedes-Benz or have parents or guardians working for the company
Program Structure
Year 1: A foundational, 12-month training in innovation, offering essential skills, networking opportunities, and resources to develop a tested project prototype. Participants receive support through coaching, mentorship, and scholarships aimed at project development.
Years 2 and 3: Ongoing support, including continued access to peer networks, venture coaching, and additional resources, to help participants build sustainable, planet-positive careers.
Fellowship Benefits
The fellowship offers two types of financial support:
- Support for Living Costs: Covers a basic income equivalent to 24 hours of work, adjusted to each country’s cost of living. It also includes transportation funds for attending in-person events.
- Support for Online Access: Provides funds to cover costs for internet access and essential tech equipment. This ensures participants can fully engage in the online aspects of the program, including virtual classes and mentorship.
Note: For those receiving online access support, receipts must be submitted to verify these purchases. Applicants may opt for only living cost support or for both living cost and online access support.
