Mediterranean Youth in Action Programme 2024 (Up to €1000 Support)

The Mediterranean Youth in Action (MYA) is thrilled to announce the application call for it’s MYA Programme 2024: Voicing Youth Knowledge in Action (Young Researchers). This Programme is designed to empower young researchers from the Euro-Mediterranean region, promoting dialogue, understanding, and cooperation.

The MYA Young Researchers programme aims to foster positive change by supporting young individuals in shaping public policies and encouraging active citizenship.

Programme Overview

The MYA Programme, which embraces a Euro-med vision, fosters cross-border communication, understanding, and collaboration while bridging cultural gaps. MYA presents youth as the real change agents, imagining a day when they will be crucial in forming the social fabric of the Mediterranean area.

Several appeals will be made during the project to reach young people from a variety of backgrounds and profiles, such as young social media influencers, young researchers, and transformative leaders connected to youth-led and youth-oriented institutions.

What to Expect

  • Submit Online Application: Including a 500-word abstract by 27 June 2024.
  • Online Training: For 50 pre-selected researchers.
  • Extended Research Proposal: Submission of a 1,000-word proposal post-training.
  • Knowledge Workout Workshop: Face-to-face workshop for 25 selected researchers.
  • Policy Briefs: Development of 3,500-word policy briefs for up to 15 researchers.
  • Publication and Dissemination: Policy briefs translated and published.
  • Evaluation and Results Sharing: Participation in the MYA Forum for final feedback and networking.

Eligible Applicants:

Young researchers aged 18-35 from the 43 countries of the Union for the Mediterranean (UFM), proficient in English, and affiliated with a think tank, research center, or university.

  • Academic Dialogues: Financial support for organizing academic events.
  • Networking Opportunities: Building connections with peers, stakeholders, and civil society representatives.
