The King’s College London Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme (CSSS) is a fully funded program for students from eligible low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries.
It enables talented students to pursue select Master’s programs at King’s College London while covering tuition, living expenses, and travel costs.
Tuition Fees
- Average tuition fee: £15,636 to £35,800, depending on the program.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen or refugee from an eligible Commonwealth country and permanently reside there.
- Be available to begin studies in the UK in September 2025.
- Hold a first-class degree (2:1) or equivalent by September 2025.
- Not have studied or worked for more than one academic year in a high-income country.
- Be unable to afford studies in the UK without this scholarship.
- Be proficient in English.
- Commit to returning to their home country after the scholarship ends.
Selection Criteria
- Academic merit of the applicant.
- Quality of the proposed study plan.
- Potential impact of the scholarship on the development of the applicant’s home country.

Scholarships apply to the following Master’s programs:
- MRes Clinical Research
- MSc Global Mental Health
- MSc Mental Health Studies
- MSc Palliative Care
Scholarship Benefits
The CSSS provides:
- Full tuition fee coverage.
- Monthly stipend: £1,347 or £1,652 (depending on location).
- Travel expenses to and from the UK.
- Additional study and clothing grants.
Application Procedure
- Step 1: Apply to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) via their online system by December 12, 2024 (16:00 UK Time).
- Step 2: Submit a King’s College admissions application for one of the approved Master’s programs by January 08, 2025. In the “Funding” section of the application, select Option 5 and include “CSSS2025” as the award scheme code.
Deadline
- CSC application deadline: December 12, 2024.
- King’s College application deadline: January 08, 2025.
