Summery Of Future-X Unilever Campus Ambassadors Program

Main Responsibilities

As a Credit Control Intern at Unilever, you’ll be expected to take on the following tasks:

• Regularly review and track outstanding invoices and payment due dates.
• Identify delayed payments and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Implement credit control strategies including reminders, follow-ups, and liaising with collection agencies.
• Reconcile payments received against issued invoices, correcting any mismatches.
• Maintain proper documentation and logs of customer payment activity and collection efforts.
• Prepare and share regular reports detailing outstanding debts, collection performance, and credit risk.
• Assist in the development of credit control procedures and ensure policy compliance.
• Monitor and manage the Customer Bank Guarantee process.
• Ensure cash handling and incentive processes are well-coordinated and recorded.

Required Qualifications & Skills

To be eligible for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Be currently serving in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or must have completed NYSC.
• Have strong financial and analytical abilities.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel).
• Understand the basics of Accounts Receivable.
• Be an effective communicator and negotiator.
• Display strong stakeholder management capabilities.
• Have good organizational and time management skills.
• Be able to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Be available to work full-time for the entire 12-month internship duration.
