Good news! Make your dream to study in Germany a reality with the fully funded Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Scholarships 2024! For the academic year 2024–2025, the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation is providing a fully funded scholarship to students in Germany, both undergraduate and graduate.
A monthly basic income of up to EUR 850, health insurance costs, and, if applicable, family and baby allowances are covered by this scholarship. Up to 40 qualified students may receive this fellowship, which also comes with a full seminar programme designed to improve the candidates’ academic and social skills.

Financial Benefits of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Scholarships
- Monthly Stipend: Selected Candidates for Bachelor’s program will receive a monthly stipend of up EUR 750, including Diploma, Magister, or state examination programs, while Masters degree program Candidates will have up to EUR 850.
- Additional Support: Health insurance costs, and a family allowance of EUR 276 per month for scholars with children.
- Other Benefits: Scholars receive additional funding for stays abroad, including travel expenses, tuition fees, and health insurance during study or research stays, language courses, and internships up to 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Open to international students from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.
- Academic Requirements: Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic performance and have admission or enrollment at a state-recognized German university.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in German is required, typically demonstrated by passing tests such as DSH level 2, TestDaF level 4, or Goethe Institute’s Zertifikat C1.
- Personal Attributes: Candidates should show sociopolitical engagement, commitment to social democracy values, political thinking, thirst for knowledge, teamwork ability, and critical thinking.

- Document Submission: If selected, you will be asked to provide additional documents, including two expert reports from university professors and details about your education and sociopolitical engagement.
- Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for two interviews; one with a trusted lecturer and another with a selection committee member.
- The final decision on acceptance into one the programs is made by the selection committee.
