The disease causes respiratory illness and its symptoms are fever, cough, difficulty in breathing, high temperature, chills, and sneezing. The first known case of COVID-19 to be confirmed in the US was on 20th January 2020, in a 35-year-old returnee from Wuhan, China. This was confirmed five days after the return. The first case in the United States of America was confirmed on the 26th of February 2020.
