The ACT Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2025 Grant Cycle. Successful applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal, including a detailed budget.
Following a thorough review by independent consultants, selected organizations will be notified of the next steps. This process may include interviews and, if chosen for a grant award, site visits.

Eligibility Criteria
Organizations interested in applying for the ACT Foundation Grant must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Focus Areas: Must operate in one or more of ACT Foundation’s priority areas—Health, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, or Environment.

- Non-Profit Status: Should be registered as a non-profit organization (GTE/LTD). Social enterprises can apply, but only if the initiative is strictly non-profit.

- Funding Sources: Must have evidence of other funding sources.
- Staffing: Must have a minimum of three part-time or full-time paid staff members.
- Direct Management: Must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the project without acting as an intermediary.
- Implementation Region: Program or initiative must be executed within Africa.
Ineligible Applicants
- Non-profits lacking a legally documented board of directors or trustees.
- Entities previously found to mismanage funds from other foundations.
- Political parties, campaign organizations, or any of their subsidiaries and affiliates.
- Organizations promoting or engaging in illegal, inhumane, or terrorist activities.

Supporting sustainable solutions in maternal and child health and initiatives focused on non-communicable diseases, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 3.

Fostering income generation and economic empowerment through programs that provide vocational training, financial literacy, and digital skills.

Aligned with SDGs 6, 11, and 13, the Foundation supports initiatives aimed at waste management, climate action, and increasing access to safe drinking water.

Encouraging leadership development through programs that focus on youth empowerment, good governance, and national development.

- Prepare Your Application: Ensure your organization meets the eligibility criteria and aligns with one or more of the Foundation’s focus areas. Prepare any necessary documentation to support your eligibility.
- Submit Initial Application: Visit the ACT Foundation’s website (https://www.actrustfoundation.org/grant ) and complete the online application form by 3rd November 2024, 11:59 PM (WAT).
- Await Notification: Selected applicants will be contacted and invited to submit a comprehensive proposal. This includes a detailed budget, project outline, and other requested documents.
