UNS Scholarship for Students 2025 in Indonesia, Fully Funded

Through self-funding and the UNS Scholarship program, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) extends an invitation to potential international students to study bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degree programs at UNS.

All programs are eligible for the UNS Scholarship; however, the quota is restricted to studies in the Faculty of Medicine or Medical Sciences.

However, all other fees and costs, including housing, travel, visa and immigration fees, food, transportation, extra health insurance, and other personal expenses, are entirely the responsibility of the student.

Document Requirements

To be admitted as a student, the following documents are needed:

  • Recent official photo (up to 300 KB in size, JPG or PNG)
  • A color scan of the cover page and identification page of a passport that is currently valid and has been for at least 18 months.
  • Graduation certificate (in English or Indonesian) from the most recent educational institution
  • Academic records from the most recent school (in either Indonesian or English)
  • Current medical certificate (in either Indonesian or English)
  • Curriculum Vitae (with a template)
  • Financial statement using the specified template
  • Personal statement (with a sample given)
  • A competency certificate in Indonesian is highly desired.
  • English language proficiency certificate
  • Letter of recommendation #1, from a lecturer/professor or work supervisor (for master and doctoral programs)
  • Letter of recommendation #2, from a lecturer/professor or work supervisor (for master and doctoral programs)
  • Preliminary research proposal to be developed into a dissertation (for doctoral program)

Responsibility of UNS Scholarship Awardee

Every UNS Scholarship recipient is required to:

  • Respect university rules, Indonesian laws and regulations, and other related rules.
  • Participate in all lectures and academic events hosted by the faculty, study program, and university.
  • Every semester, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00 for social programs and 2.75 for science programs.
  • Complete their studies on schedule.
  • Additional guidelines will be included in the scholarship agreement.

Eligibility Requirements

There are eligibility requirements for the UNS Scholarship for Students 2025 in Indonesia and they are stated below;

  • Not be citizens of Indonesia (those who are citizens of Indonesia are not eligible).
  • Express a strong desire to enroll in UNS’s bachelor’s degree program.
  • Be younger than 24 when applying for a bachelor’s degree program.
  • Be able and willing to participate in a video call interview
  • Not in possession of refugee status.
  • Not having been found guilty of a crime or serious offense that resulted in the applicant’s imprisonment
  • Possess financial backing.
  • Fill out all the necessary paperwork.

Language Requirements

A TOEFL certificate with a minimum score of 450 for natural scientific programs and 500 for social science programs, or certificates of other academic English proficiency exams with an equivalent score, is required of applicants to demonstrate their ability in English.

After being accepted, candidates must finish the UNS Language Center’s Indonesian language course. The scholarship covers this course.

Terms and Conditions of UNS Scholarship

The following terms and conditions apply when granting a UNS scholarship:

  • Eight semesters for bachelor’s programs, four semesters for master’s programs, and six semesters for doctorate programs are covered by the scholarship. If the awardee is unable to complete their studies after the scholarship period has passed, they will be required to pay the tuition.
  • If the recipient is unable to maintain a minimal GPA or breaks university and Indonesian legal regulations, the scholarship may be revoked.
  • The awardee must return the awarded funds upon their resignation from UNS.
  • The scholarship agreement will have additional rules.

Applications Instructions

Candidates must adhere to the steps listed below:

  • The Letter of Offer is available for download by applicants at http://uns.id/OfferLetterAug2025.
  • Candidates research and seek out the course of study that best suits their interests. You can view the curriculum and courses, as well as a list of available programs, at http://uns.id/listofcourses.
  • Candidates get the necessary paperwork ready.
  • Candidates bring the following paperwork when they visit the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General in their nation to request a recommendation letter: UNS offer letter, passport, academic transcript, and graduation certificate
  • On the UNS International Admission website, applicants register for admission.
  • Candidates provide their data.
  • The “Upload Document” area is where applicants upload all necessary paperwork.
  • After providing the necessary paperwork, applicants print a registration card.
  • The admission committee will carry out administrative selection.
  • The subsequent selection steps are open to candidates who make it through the administrative selection process.
  • The first interview will take place.
  • The test will be computer-based.
  • The final departmental interview is the last step.
  • Email notifications and the Letter of Acceptance will be sent to the selected candidates.
  • Students confirm their intention to attend UNS.
  • UNS applies for a student visa and a study permit.
  • After being notified by UNS, admitted students arrive at UNS.
