Established in 2001, Developing Solutions is the premier master’s fellowship for students from South Asian, African, and other Commonwealth nations. Eligibility
To apply for this scholarship, you must:
- Possess a residence in Africa, India, or one of the chosen Commonwealth nations mentioned below.
- Hold an offer to begin a full-time master’s program (including an MRes) in 2025–2026 at the University of Nottingham, UK, in the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Faculty of Science, or Faculty of Social Sciences; be considered an international student for fee purposes.
Individuals not eligible for this Scholarship
There are certain individuals that are not eligible for the Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship 2025 and they are stated below.
- Are a current student or graduate of the University of Nottingham
- And have studied and been awarded an undergraduate or postgraduate degree outside of your home country.
- Are currently studying in the UK.
Application Criteria
Candidates will be evaluated primarily on their ability to articulate their vision and concrete plan for creating a particular solution that will address important structural, social, political, environmental, or economic issues in their nation of origin. Strong candidates will be able to relate this to the learning objectives of their program and explain how it will help them in their endeavors.
Also, applications will subsequently be reviewed in accordance with more conventional scholarship criteria, such as your motivations for attending Nottingham and impressive accomplishments, where the spirit of Developing Solutions has been amply demonstrated.
