Eligibility Requirements/ Non-eligibility

Applicants must fulfill the following requirements to be considered for the East-West Center’s ADB-JSP scholarship:

  • Candidates must be 35 years of age or younger when they apply.
  • A bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, must be earned within four years. Subject to assessment, an equivalent might be a two-year bachelor’s degree plus a two-year master’s degree, or a three-year bachelor’s degree plus a one-year master’s degree.
  • After earning their university degree, candidates must have worked full-time for at least two years.

  • You need to take an English proficiency test and receive at least the following scores: 95 for the Duolingo English Test, 6.5 for the IELTS, 79–80 for the internet-based TOEFL iBT, 550 for the paper-based TOEFL, or 213 for the computer-based TOEFL. The test results must have been obtained no more than two years ago.

Non-eligibility Criteria for the ADB-JSP Scholarship

  • Those who reside or work outside of their nation of origin are not eligible to apply.
  • This scholarship is not available to those who are pursuing a second master’s degree or who have previously studied overseas (outside ADB developing member nations).

Application Process
