Exceptional global scholars admitted to the United Arab Emirates University for their tertiary education are potentially eligible for one of three outlined scholarships. The awarding of these scholarships is governed by institutional guidelines and is competitively assessed, factoring in the student’s academic credentials and educational aptitude.

This evaluation is contingent upon the availability of seats and the teaching capabilities specific to each scholarship category. It’s important to note, however, that these scholarships do not encompass accommodation expenses.

Scholarship Categories

The scholarship opportunities are in three different categories:

  • Partial Scholarship A (100%)
  • Partial Scholarship B (75%)
  • Partial Scholarship C (50%)

Scholarship Benefits

Partial Scholarship A (100%):

  • 100% tuition waiver to qualified students.

Partial Scholarship B (75%):

  • 75% tuition waiver to qualified students.

for Partial Scholarship C (50%):

  • 50% tuition waiver to qualified students.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility for Partial Scholarship A  (100%):

  • High school certificate score of 98%
  • English language requirement (for all colleges except Law):
  • A minimum score of 7.5 in the IELTS test
  • A minimum score of 1800 in EMSAT English or an equivalent test
  • English language requirement (for the College of Law):
  • A requisite total band score of at least 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is needed.
  • A minimum score of 1550 in EMSAT English or an equivalent test
  • Mathematics requirement (for Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Agriculture & Vet Medicine, and Health Sciences):
  • A minimum score of 730 on the SAT Subject Test in Mathematics
  • A minimum score of 1300 in EMSAT Math or an equivalent test
  • Arabic requirement (for the College of Law only):
  • A minimum score of 1350 in EMSAT Arabic Language or an equivalent test

Duration

  • Valid until graduation, provided the student meets the Student Eligibility conditions

Duties and Expectations

  • Maintain a GPA of 3.8 or higher while studying at UAEU
  • Complete at least 15 credit hours in each regular semester

Eligibility for Partial Scholarship B  (75%):

  • High school certificate score: 97%
  • English requirement for all colleges except Law:
  • IELTS score of 7.0 or higher, or
  • EMSAT English score of 1675 or higher, or equivalent
  • English requirement for the College of Law:
  • IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, or
  • EMSAT English score of 1400 or higher, or equivalent
  • Mathematics requirement for Science, IT, Engineering, Agriculture & Vet Medicine, and Health Sciences:
  • SAT Subject test in mathematics score of 695 or higher, or
  • EMSAT Math score of 1200, or equivalent
  • Arabic requirement for the College of Law:
  • EMSAT Arabic language test score of 1350 or higher, or equivalent

Duration

  • Valid until graduation, provided the student meets the Student Eligibility conditions

Duties and Expectations

  • Maintain a GPA of 3.7 or higher at UAEU
  • Complete at least 15 credit hours per regular semester

Eligibility for Partial Scholarship B  (50%):

  • High school certificate score: 95%
  • English requirement for all colleges except Law:
  • IELTS score of 6.5 or higher, or
  • EMSAT English score of 1550 or higher, or equivalent
  • English requirement for the College of Law:
  • A band score of 5.5 or above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or
  • EMSAT English score of 1250 or higher, or equivalent
  • Mathematics requirement for Science, IT, Engineering, Agriculture & Vet Medicine, and Health Sciences:
  • SAT Subject test in mathematics score of 660 or higher, or
  • EMSAT Math score of 1100, or equivalent
  • Arabic requirement for the College of Law:
  • EMSAT Arabic language test score of 1250 or higher, or equivalent

Duration

  • Valid until graduation, provided the student meets the Student Eligibility conditions

Duties and Expectations:

  • Maintain a GPA of 3.6 or higher out of 4.0 at UAEU
  • To fulfill the academic requirements, ensure to successfully finish a minimum of 15 credit hours during each regular semester.

How to Apply

  • International students who are high school graduates from both public and private institutions and are interested in joining the program may submit their applications online  via our dedicated online admissions portal.
  • Prospective applicants are required to ensure their applications are lodged within the specified application cycle, as officially announced on the university’s online platform:
