The Internship Program lasts for one (1) year, after which participants are released to pursue opportunities in the job market.

Internship Objective
The main goal of the CBK Internship Program is to develop and prepare young graduates for future employment opportunities in Kenya’s banking and financial sectors.
It also provides participants with real-world workplace experience, helps expand their knowledge, refines their career goals, and offers a chance to build a professional network of mentors and contacts.
Basic Requirements for Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) Internship Program 2025
- First degree or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Banking, Accounting, Micro-Finance, Human Resources, Management, Social Sciences, IT, Communications, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Must be a Kenyan citizen aged between 21 and 29 years.
- Must have graduated within the last 24 months before the application deadline.
- Must provide a recommendation letter from their university.
- Should not have previously undertaken an internship or similar work experience related to their field of study.
- Must have valid medical insurance coverage (NHIF or a reputable private insurer) for the entire internship period.
