Intel has launched the second edition of its Community Reach Program (ICRP) for 2025, aiming to drive digital inclusion and foster AI-powered solutions across underserved communities in Africa.

This initiative seeks proposals from organizations leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and broadband connectivity to address critical challenges in sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, environmental services, fintech, and digital skills development.
Program Overview
The ICRP 2025 focuses on empowering populations in underserved areas within African Union member states. By supporting projects that utilize AI—especially at the Edge with AI PCs—and broadband connectivity, Intel aims to promote financial, social, and technological equity across the continent.
Key areas of impact include:
- Education, including STEM fields
- Healthcare
- Agriculture
- Environmental services
- Fintech solutions
- Digital skills readiness
Selected projects will receive:
Technical guidance from global experts
- Strategic consultancy for scalability
- Capacity-building resources to enhance
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Operate within a member state of the African Union
- Serve underserved areas (rural, suburban, or urban), targeting vulnerable populations
- Address social challenges in the specified sectors
- Utilise or plan to utilise AI and/or broadband connectivity
- Be a registered legal entity in the country of project implementation
- Projects can be local, national, or transnational within the African Union countries
Intel encourages applications from organisations, enterprises, startups, SMES, and institutions, with a particular emphasis on supporting women tech entrepreneurs
Application Process
Deadline: June 13, 2025
Applicants are required to submit:
- A detailed business plan
- A sustainability strategy outlining funding models
- An assessment of current and projected social impact
All submissions must be in English

Timeline:
- Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by July 25, 2025
- Final submission deadline: August 22, 2025
- Finalists announced: September 22, 2025
Strategic Partnership
Intel collaborates with AfriLabs, a pan-African network of over 500 innovation hubs across 53 countries, to implement the ICRP. This partnership aims to enhance access to STEM education, foster innovation, and advance technology for societal betterment.
