The University of Debrecen, one of Hungary’s oldest institutions, offers the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship for international students pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs in various fields.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be international students (non-Hungarian nationals).
- Hold citizenship from a country eligible for the Stipendium Hungaricum Program.
- Be over 18 years of age by August 2025.
- Possess: A high school diploma for undergraduate programs, a relevant bachelor’s degree for master’s programs, a master’s degree for doctoral studies.
- Demonstrate a strong academic record and English (or Hungarian) proficiency.
- Submit a medical certificate verifying good health.

Scholarship Benefits
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship covers:
- Full Tuition: For the entire program duration.
- Monthly Stipend: Bachelor’s & Master’s: ~HUF 43,700 (approx. $120), Doctoral: ~HUF 140,000–180,000 (approx. $380–$490).
- Accommodation: Dormitory placement or a housing allowance of ~HUF 40,000/month (approx. $110).
- Health Insurance: Comprehensive coverage.
